Becoming Certified Virtual Assistants is a decision that only you can make. Everyone will have their own opinion about becoming certified as a Virtual Assistant . You'll have to decide what is right for you.

At the time of writing this it is not required to be certified to work in this profession. Being certified as Virtual Assistant is not required, but it does add weight to your credentials to prospective clients. It may also make the difference when prospective clients are choosing between several Virtual Assistants.

There are various certification programs available to Virtual Assistants. Some require you to be members of their organization while others don't. Some programs award certifications based on tests/exams related to your Virtual Assistance knowledge and skills. Other programs don't require you to take tests and or exams, but award certifications based on your knowledge, education, and experience in the Virtual Assistance industry.

I've compiled a list of several programs available to become Certified Virtual Assistants along with any costs and requirements of each program. You can view the list of programs at Virtual Assistant Certifications.
