Hi there,

Are you prepared for the worst? You may be asking yourself, the worst of what.

We have been having storms here in Georgia like you wouldn't believe. Homes are being struck by lightening and are completely destroyed.

Good friends of mine recently lost their home after the grass in their backyard caught on fire, and in my very own subdivision a neighbor lost their home to a fire. Thankfully in both instances no one lost their lives.

I don't know if you have heard of Corey Rudl, the Internet Marketing Guru, who recently passed away in a tragic car accident.

All these tragedies have really made me think, what would happened if disaster or tragedy struck and something happened to me or my home. Not only would I lose my home but also my business, because I work from my home office. Am I really prepared for something like this?

Some Questions to Consider and Ask Yourself:

1) Am I prepared if disaster or tragedy strikes, and I lost my business?

2) Would my husband, wife, or children know how to contact my clients if something happened to me?

3) Do they know where I keep my personal files and important business documents?

4) Do I have things set in place to be able to open up shop immediately, even if disaster or tragedy struck?

If you are like me, I hate to even think about anything like that, but lets face it things happen. You need to make sure all your bases are covered.

It's not enough just to back up files, because if you keep these things in your home and your home is destroyed, then what?

I recently stumbled across a gem, Home Office Recovery Plan. It is set up similar to a workbook, and shows you step-by-step how to put a plan into action if an emergency arises, so that you can recover your home based business quickly.

Visit Home Office Recovery Plan to learn more.

Don't wait for something to happen because then it's too late.

Wishing you the best,

Don't Be Afraid to Invest in Your Business

If you want your business to grow then you are going to have to invest into it, plain and simple.

Investing into your business can include the following:

1) Your time (use it wisely)

2) Your Education

3) Purchasing equipment, products, and software

4) Outsourcing work

These are just a few ways to invest in your business.

When I first started my Virtual Assistance Practice my funds were definitely limited. Sure...you can find and get a lot of information at no cost, if you have a lot of time on your hand. Frankly, I got tired of searching the internet day and night trying find this information. I was spending way too much time glued to my computer, and my time with my family was suffering greatly. Simply put, I didn't have a life. If you're like me then your time is precious and valuable.

I felt like I couldn't afford to invest in business because bills had to be paid. Don't get me wrong I am not saying don't pay your bills. What I am saying is after re-evaluating my situation, I wrote down a list of things I needed and would like to have for my business from the most important to the least. Then I started setting aside a little bit of money each week to invest in my business. Once I had enough to get the first thing on my list, I bought it, then I started the cycle over again for the next thing on my list.

Using this method helped my business tremendously. I was able to purchase the equipment, software, info products, and more, that I needed to help my business grow and run more smoothly. The time I was saving was priceless.

So the moral of this story is don't be afraid to invest in your business. Evaluate your situation and invest in your future.

Wishing you the best,
