Lose Your Commute Review
Although this book is geared towards finding legitimate work-at-home jobs, it can be a great resource for locating and
landing clients for your Virtual Assistant Business. There are many books on how to start and/or find home-based businesses, but there are
few books out there showing you how to find legitimate work-at-home jobs. Well, Lose Your Commute has stepped up to the plate.
Lose Your Commute is packed with some great information and resources. Regardless of whether you are new to searching for clients,
telecommuting jobs, or you already work from home, you can still learn something from this e-book.
Lose Your Commute breaks down exactly what teleworking and telecommuting are. Also, it helps you determine whether or not
working from home is for you by doing a self-examination. It discusses the types of skills you need and what types of jobs can be done from
home.
Some Features:
* Learn how to write a convincing proposal to your current boss so you can work from home.
* Learn where and how to find legitimate work-at-home jobs and how to spot scams
* Learn the proper format for your résumé and what skills to emphasize
* Tips for phone interviews and follow up
* A large list of job search sites including teleworking, freelance,
and general job search sites
* A list of keywords to use in your search for a telecommuting job
One drawback that I found is that Phil dedicates a whole chapter to commuting statistics (the average time you spend commuting back and forth
to work). Unless you like numbers and statistics, this chapter will probably be of little interest to you.
Overall, Lose Your Commute is a great resource of valuable information and is well worth the $27 dollars.
