Do Virtual Assistants Use Virtual Assistants?Â
I recently visited a VA Forum that I haven’t been to in awhile. I saw a post entitled “Do VAs use VAs”. Well..they most certainly do. I’ve recently started outsourcing some aspects of my business to a Virtual Assistant. Outsourcing and subcontracting work to other Virtual Assistants can actually help build and grow your Virtual Assistant Business.
You can outsource things that you don’t like to do or just don’t know how to do. Why should you have to turn down a project from a current or prospective client just because you may not have the time to take on anymore work or you simply don’t know how to do it?
You can subcontract out work when you have an overflow. You can certainly expand your services offered by outsourcing work to other Virtual Assistants who specialize in certain areas. For example if a prospective or current client wants some transcription work done, rather than losing the client you could easily subcontract or outsource the project to a VA who specializes in transcription.
This is where networking comes into the picture. By networking with other Virtual Assistants, you build relationships that can lead to subcontracting partnerships down the road. You will get know Virtual Assistants who specialize in many different areas.
Letting Go and Delegating
There are many VA groups and forums where you can get to know other Virtual Assistants. I hesitated to outsource initially because I was afraid to give up some of my control, delegate work, and I was afraid that another VA wouldn’t get the job done like I would. Eventually I took the leap and just did it, and I’m glad I did. I had to learn how to give up some control which is a big issue with me, but it was well worth it. I’ve added an article on the website regarding how to find the right Virtual Assistant. You can read it at Virtual Assistant Needed.
If you’re interested in networking with other Virtual Assistants, I have a few networking groups and forums listed on the website at here: Virtual Assistant Organizations
